I love a good market and good food. Which is why I spend almost every Sunday at the Hollywood Farmer’s Market. That might soon change after my fantastic afternoon eating delicious food at Smorgasburg in downtown L.A.
Starting at 10 AM every Sunday, food vendors begin serving up delicious eats for the masses. Get there early, because by noon, the lines get long and the sun gets hot.
Food Vendors
Smogasburg has everything from burgers to lobster to tacos. The vendors are unique and serve up more than enough for your buck to keep you satisfied. Check out this half lobster I got for $14.
Drinking
Not to worry, booze are readily available. Head to the back end where you’ll need I.D. for the 21+ area bar. There you’ll find games and a beer and wine menu. You can go in and out and bring food from the vendors inside.
They’ve been running this event for almost a year and it might be my new favorite weekend excursion. What started in Brooklyn, NY has now expanded to the west coast in a favorable move. The best part? Parking is easy and cheap. Free for two hours or about $4.50 for the four hours we spent there.
The address is 785 Bay Street, Los Angeles, CA 90021
